Autumnal Getaway

Last week, myself and Phil descended upon Center Parcs Longleat for a week of rapid riding, pool sliding, bike riding and general fun. I had never been to Center Parcs as a kid so I had no idea what to expect but Phil had fond childhood memories of the place that needed living up to.

We were both well in need of a relaxing week away and that it definitely was! It is so nice to be able to go somewhere, not have to worry about anything and completely please yourself. We booked the Aqua Sana spa for our last day there and it was absolute bliss, it wasn't over busy and there were 15 different spa experiences to choose from including a heated outdoor pool.

The only downside of the whole week was the price of eating out, we really enjoy food and eating out together but it wasn't realistic to do it every night (both of our bank balances have taken quite a hit). If we were to go again we would definitely take more food to cook ourselves as the accommodation we stayed in (Redwood Apartments) had all the facilities you needed to be fully self catered.

Really it was just nice for the two of us to get to spend some quality time together and enjoy each others company. It was back to reality this week though...

Sunday Funday

I went back to Gloucestershire at the weekend to spend some time with my parents and on Sunday we decided to take a little trip over to Bourton-on-the-Water. We visited Birdland and at first we thought it was pretty hilarious that a 21 year old wanted to walk around a bird park with her parents but we actually had a surprisingly good time. It was worth going just for the penguins!

We then went for a stroll around the village which has got to be one of the most picturesque places in the country (hence all the tourists). It was so nice to do something a bit different for the day and I definitely feel very relaxed and ready to tackle the rest of the week!

P.s. I took all the photos on my new iPhone, I'm quite pleased with them especially as they were taken with a phone camera. oh technology!

a walk in the park...

 cheesy couple picture (sorry!)

At the weekend my boyfriend and I decided to go for a walk around Roath Park. Despite having lived 10 minutes away for the last year and a half I had never been before, and now I don't know why it took me so long to go! It is such a lovely park with a giant lake right in the middle. I've never been much of an autumn girl but for some reason this year I am loving layering up in warm clothes and being outside. I love the smells and colours at this time of year and it was so nice to wander around for a few hours in the fresh air. And of course no walk would be complete without stopping off at a cafe for a hot chocolate (with whipped cream and marshmallows obviously!)
